Personal Installation

If you'd like to run BDK on your personal system, you'll first need to install a JDK from Sun. BeanBox is no longer supported by Sun, nor is it available from their website.

An unofficial copy of BDK-1.1 can be downloaded here.

Unzip this file somewhere on your system. It will create a 'beans' directory.

  • Windows:
In this directory you'll find a bat file named 'beans\beanbox\run.bat'. Provided your JDK is setup properly, you should be able to double-click on this bat file to launch Beanbox.
  • Unix:
In this directory you'll find a script named 'beans/beanbox/run.sh'. Provided your JDK is setup properly, you should be able to run this script to launch Beanbox.
